Dr. Amobi Onovo is a data scientist, biostatistician, and global health expert with over 15 years of experience applying AI, machine learning, and advanced statistical modeling to large-scale health and finance data. He has led high-impact analytics initiatives at UNICEF, the Henry Jackson Foundation, and USAID, delivering predictive models, real-time dashboards, and data-driven decision tools that strengthened program performance and patient outcomes across multiple countries.
He is the developer of AI-powered platforms such as EpidPredict and Quantium Insights, which use Bayesian forecasting and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to generate actionable insights in HIV, MNCAH, immunization, and climate analytics. His expertise spans epidemiological study design, causal inference, and survival analysis, with publications in The Lancet, BioMed, and arXiv.
Dr. Onovo holds a Ph.D. in Global Health (Mathematical Modeling), an MPH in Epidemiology, and a postgraduate diploma in Data Science & Business Analytics, combining technical depth with strategic leadership and cross-sector collaboration.
Charles Mance is a technology executive, founder, and board-level leader with over 20 years of experience driving digital transformation, enterprise modernization, and risk management. He has held senior executive and CIO roles in higher education and global enterprises, including The George Washington University, the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), Bayer, and Respironics. In these roles, he led major infrastructure, cybersecurity, and governance initiatives that delivered measurable financial and operational results.
As a founder and strategic advisor, Charles specializes in identity and access management, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, global networks, and business continuity. He has guided mergers and acquisitions, revitalized underperforming units, and built governance frameworks that align technology investments with long-term organizational strategy. He holds a Doctor of Science in Information Systems and Communications and is a published author and former adjunct faculty member in cybersecurity and project management.
Professor George O. Ong'amo (PhD) is an entomologist, educator, and practitioner dedicated to protecting farmers’ livelihoods from destructive pests, particularly the desert locust. Trained at Kenyatta University from undergraduate to doctoral level, he specializes in insect ecology and population dynamics. He currently serves as National Fall Armyworm Project Coordinator for FAO in Kenya, while remaining deeply engaged in desert locust management as both a scientific and humanitarian mission tied to food security and community resilience.
During the 2020-2022 desert locust crisis in Kenya, he led aerial and ground control operations as FAO’s National Locust Expert, working closely with field teams and training over 2,000 technical staff and scouts. Later, at FAO Headquarters in Rome, he contributed to global strategies that strengthened preparedness and long-term risk reduction across the Horn of Africa.
He is also a professor and researcher at the University of Nairobi, with over 60 scientific publications, committed to mentoring young scientists and advancing integrated pest management across Africa.
Nega Gebreyesus is a technology founder and senior program leader with over 25 years of experience building and scaling enterprise and mission-critical systems across the public and private sectors. He has founded and led technology ventures delivering AI-driven, data-centric solutions in areas including digital health, enterprise IT, and intelligent automation. Earlier in his career, he founded a software company in Maryland that developed optimization and surface-mount technology (SMT) line monitoring solutions for global electronics manufacturers, serving clients such as Intel, Fuji Machines (Japan), Ericsson, and Motorola.
Nega has led large-scale digital platforms and analytics initiatives for U.S. federal agencies and international programs deployed in more than 30 countries. With deep expertise in cloud architecture, data engineering, and applied AI for health, security, and agriculture, he brings a rare ability to translate complex technology into scalable, real-world impact. He holds a Doctor of Science in IT and Communications and is also an experienced educator, having served as a university lecturer and adjunct professor at multiple institutions.
